Since graduating from Edinburgh College of Art last summer, Plum's idiosyncratic approach to painting has granted her recognition by the likes of Lyon and Turnbull and the RSA New Contemporaries. Plum's paintings and prints hark to a bygone era in some respects yet allude to contemporary themes and concerns relating to the space we inhibit and the possessions we surround ourselves with.
Below is a copy of the letter we sent out to Plum-with her responses-detailing the matter of printmaking, interpretations of style and important lessons learnt from time spent as an art student.
